The park is spread over a large area and is on the Southern Flyer cycle path, opposite The Runner pub. There is no specific parking area but you are able to park on the streets nearby, or you can reach the park within about 10/15 minutes if walking from town.

The park has a play area for younger kids, plus lots of equipment for older children. There is a large flat open space next to the park which is well loved by dog owners. It is the perfect space to take a football, frisbee, or your cricket set, a picnic in the summer (please note it is not very shady so don't forget your sunscreen); and you can also play pooh sticks in the stream running through it.
